My name is Trevor. My dog, Rex, died of old age on June 19, 2023. I would like extra support at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

2. Add supporters

This step is optional, but research shows that receiving support from others helps grievers feel less alone after a pet dies.

Using your customized email template or QR code, easily send invites to the people you'd like to support you. Once they accept, we'll text them gentle suggestions and tips about how to be there for you.

Hi, Trevor. Because Rex was a dog, you may feel that the depth of your grief from his passing is not being fully recognized by others. This is called disenfranchised grief and it happens when your grief doesn't neatly fit into society's views about grief and loss. This can be especially isolating and painful. Your grief for Rex is real and significant and deserves acknowledgment and support.
