Funeral Director & Thanatologist
Adam is an ADEC-certified Thanatologist, an APFSP-certified Funeral Service Practitioner, and a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. He holds a Master of Science in Thanatology, along with bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Funeral Service and Mortuary Science, and is the CEO, co-founder, and managing funeral director of Annable Family Mortuary in Las Vegas.
Before entering funeral service, Adam spent more than ten years at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, working as a unit and family coordinator and liaison in the Main Operating Room, the Home-Based Palliative Care Program, and the Medical Intensive Care Unit. His experience in the MICU during the COVID-19 pandemic was a pivotal moment that led him to pursue funeral service, a calling that began in childhood.
Adam mentors aspiring and newly licensed funeral directors through the Continuing Vision Mentorship Program. He is deeply committed to LGBTQIA+ advocacy, civil and immigration rights, and supporting individuals and families navigating anticipatory grief, delayed grief, suicide loss, substance-related deaths, and disenfranchised grief.
