Michael is a certified cognitive behavioral therapist and neuro-linguistic programming specialist with a passion for preventing burnout in the workplace. As the Chief Burnout Officer at the Breakfast Leadership Network, he has used what he has learned from his own difficult personal experiences as an opportunity to speak to global audiences about balanced workplace ethics and healthy work mindsets. Michael is the author of several books, the newest being Burnout Proof, which focuses on readers learning to recognize burnout signs in themselves and in others, understand how you became burned out in the first place, implement burnout prevention techniques, and more. Michael also has extensive experience working as a healthcare chief financial officer, overseeing IT infrastructure of corporate and non-profit organizations, and leading multi-site healthcare organizations, all of which has fueled his knowledge regarding burnout prevention and recovery.
